Weekly Programmes
Tuesday Gathering
A short gathering is held in English on Tuesday evenings. Aimed primarily at a young audience, relevant topics are discussed, with a view to increase Islamic awareness and social responsibility.
Friday at-Tazkiyah Gathering
This gathering focuses on spiritual rectification and is extremely popular, attracting brothers from many places outside Leicester. Shaykh imparts his enlightening discourses in the Urdu language, and a simultaneous English translation enables a wider audience to benefit.
Monthly Tazkiyah & Tarbiyyah Programme
This gathering is held on the first Saturday of each month. Many people from all over the country attend for the purpose of self-rectification and spiritual development. Time is allocated for the completion of qadha salah, recitation of the Glorious Qur'an, dhikr and learning masa'il pertaining to daily needs. Shaykh Muhammad Saleem Dhorat hafizahullah also addresses the gathering with his words of wisdom.
Bimonthly Programmes
In its effort to serve the needs of the wider Muslims community, the Academy organises numerous bimonthly programmes throughout the country. Qualified scholars from the Academy address these gatherings.
Annual Conference
The Annual Conference was initiated to help spread the teachings of Islam on a national scale. The conference has grown from strength to strength, attracting people from all over the UK. Lectures focus on the need to become better Muslims and therefore better citizens and members of society. Previously discussed topics include; the responsibilities of Muslims in the UK and Why Muslim’s love Muhammad sallallahu alayhi wasallam.
Preparatory Course for Hajj
Hajj, the sacred pilgrimage, is the fifth pillar of Islam. It is a duty which many Muslims only get the opportunity to fulfil once in a lifetime. Thus many prospective pilgrims are anxious that this important worship be completed properly. To meet these concerns, the Academy annually coordinates a comprehensive guidance course for intending pilgrims prior to the Hajj season. Shaykh has been conducting this popular course since it was initiated in 1995.
The five day course (delivered in Urdu with a simultaneous English translation) discusses the essential rites of Hajj and is accompanied by a daily question and answer session. A two day abridged version of the course in English is also organised every year.
The ‘How To Perform’ series of booklets are a useful compliment to the course and detail the main content of the lecture material in a simple, easy to read format. Programmes for Sisters
Monthly Tazkiyah Gathering
This gathering takes place on the first Sunday of the month. Many local sisters benefit from this gathering which includes talks delivered in both English and Urdu. Shaykh often enlightens the gathering with his presence.
Bimonthly Gathering for Sisters
This gathering has proved to be a very beneficial service attracting a large number of sisters. All lectures are imparted in English and the lecture series is designed to help sisters attain a better understanding of Islam. Sisters who are unable to attend the programmes can also benefit by downloading them from this website.
