Preparatory Course for Hajj
Hajj, the sacred pilgrimage, is the fifth pillar of Islam. It is a duty which many Muslims only get the opportunity to fulfil once in a lifetime. Thus many prospective pilgrims are anxious that this important worship be completed properly. To meet these concerns, the Academy annually coordinates a comprehensive guidance course for intending pilgrims prior to the Hajj season. Shaykh has been conducting this popular course since it was initiated in 1995.
The five day course (delivered in Urdu with a simultaneous English translation) discusses the essential rites of Hajj and is accompanied by a daily question and answer session. A two day abridged version of the course in English is also organised every year.
The ‘How To Perform’ series of booklets are a useful compliment to the course and detail the main content of the lecture material in a simple, easy to read format. Recordings of the course and copies of the how to perform series are available from the Da‘wah Book Centre, 86 Berners Street, Leicester..
